GymBeat brings you ...

Drumming with Frame Drum / Darabuka drum and Junk Percussion
In the workshops you can expect to learn and practise through a series of exercises / rudiments designed to help you get the most out of your individual playing whilst maintaining an ear for the balance and harmony required to play with other Musicians.

The family of Percussion instruments and techniques are quite varied and can at first seem like a big mountain to climb. Through these sessions we will explore the importance of being at Base Camp as well as the importance of reaching new summits with our playing.

The Percussionists role is to support and define a musical structure.
We are responsible for the simmer and boil of the music.

Hooping with giant hoops
Hooping with larger hoops allows the spin to be slower and feels a lot easier than you can imagine. The Hooping session will be a fun way to keep fit, relax and enjoy the visual trails of hoops looping through the air. The hoop creates a sense of a safe space and a sense of calm within a gentle physical workout.

Hooping can be many things;
Dance, Meditation, Exercise or simply just Fun !

A Variety of guest artists
With your support we can bring a variety of guest artists / bands to add more variety to your GymBeat experience.
